We had another great couple of weeks of bug crushing and building out some new features.
As always, you can request new features in our community.
Capturing multiple Slack messages for a ticket
We heard over and over again from our customers that they often had multiple messages in a Slack channel or direct message that all needed to be turned into one ticket.
We've come up with a creative way to support this, using one of our favorite things, emojis. You simply mark the first message you'd like to capture with a :pushpin: emoji, and the last message with the standard emoji, the :key:.
The resulting ticket that gets created will take each message and turn it into a transcript that posted as a comment on the new ticket.
Using a custom emoji to create tickets
We also heard from our customers that they would prefer to mark tickets with a custom emoji instead of a :key:. We can't automatically add an emoji to a Slack team via the API (hopefully someday soon!), so we did the next best thing.
We now support creation of tickets using an emoji called :bubbleiq:. You can upload any emoji you want into Slack, and give it that name, and viola!
In our case, we used the BubbleIQ logo. If you'd like to do that too, here it is:
Here's a quick action shot.
We'd love to see what fun emoji you use! Send us a screenshot.
